This quartz offers the natural look of the Calacatta marble, but with none of the drawbacks that come with marble worktops. Calacatta quartz is a very durable worktop that is stain and scratch resistant meaning it is also a very practical choice. LIMESTONE – Limestone is known for its natural beauty, warmth, and elegance. It is available in a wide range of natural colors and textures. But, its naturally porous surface makes it more stain and scratch prone than other materials. Overall, if you want to impress your friends and family and go for that WOW factor, prefab might not be the best choice; you’ll want to go with a custom fabricated slab.
We either deliver them to you or – if you are local – our experienced install team will set them in place for you. I would have suggested to remove the granite backsplash if you were doing a tile backsplash also. And the small tiles look super busy, and they conflict with the granite. It took about 3 days to complete this DIY –from van rental to granite installation. Got home and unloaded the the slab with the help of wife, daughter and a long table which happens to be at the height of the clearance of granite from the floor.
If you don’t have a precut end cap, cut one from your extra piece of laminate. Make a couple of practice cuts with a laminate cutter before you try the real thing. Set your laminate on scrap wood (not on your new countertop!) and draw the shape of the end cap plus 1/4 in.
